Luke 5:5 Simon (Peter) answered, "Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But, because you say so, I will let down the nets."

Picture the scene with me if you will. It’s already been a long difficult night of unproductive fishing. The boats have been hauled ashore. The heavy fishing nets, after being inspected for tears and repaired if necessary, were then washed and were almost ready to be stowed away.

A hot shower, a shave, and maybe a big breakfast and a cup of coffee from McDonalds sure would taste pretty good about now.

But…

Then this "preacher", this carpenter’s son, this… suggest that you, a fisherman, go out again, now, into deep water and try again, now!

There is something about this man that tells you to go, fish, and to go and do it now!

He knows your nets are empty.

He knows you are weary.

He knows it’s not too late to try again.

Try Peter’s answer: "Because you say so, I will let down the nets."
